under the influence

Today in my Management class I sat behind a boy that I have been attracted to for about, I'd say, a year and a half. Now, this class is not the most interesting class on the planet so when the professor is talking I tend to find my brain wandering off into lala land. Also today, I took "non-drowsy" Sudafed for my cold. The makers of Sudafed, however, are liars and I found myself feeling both extremely tired and surprisingly drunk (in the sense that I was going to fall facedown into my desk at any second). To get to the point of all this, while the professor was going on and on about the "illusions of influence", I found myself (heavily medicated, mind you) staring at the back of the cute boy's head and wanting nothing more than to run my hand through his hair. And I mean I REALLY wanted to.

I don't know what any of this means.

Maybe I need a nap.

coughing and wheezing

I have a cold. Again. I was taking a look back at my colds and in the past 5 months, I've had 4 colds. I had one at the end of September during Austin City Limits. I had one during Halloween weekend (caused by my flu shot). I got one the week before I went home for winter break. And I have one now. Poor November didn't see me with a cold.

What's going on??? No wonder I'm so depressed.

Oh & I want to run away to Georgetown again. I have lots of fun there.

I'm also watching Best Week Ever right now and David Wain was at Sundance and he said this to someone which I thought was funny/sad:
David Wain: What's the dog's name?
Woman: Stella
David Wain: Oh I hope she doesn't get cancelled.

I'm sorry, but Scrabble is the devil.

A couple of my friends and I have this Scrabble via e-mail game going on. Now I admit, vocabulary is not my strong point and sometimes I don't think quickly enough. And yes, Jillian and Aaron may go to Georgetown and Columbia which are like "whoa" schools and they're really smart. And yes, I haven't dominated in Scrabble in the past. But seriously, this game has something against me because I really CANNOT make any words unless they're "in" or "id" or any other 2-letter words because all it keeps giving me are i's!!!!! No wonder I'm losing. Again.

Thanks for making me feel even stupider online Scrabble people.

On a happier note, Happy 21st Birthday Justin. I hope you get nice and sloshed tonight.

I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Gosling!

Last night Mike, Byron, and I saw Chris Parnell from SNL in Duane Reade.

He's short, gray, and balding in the back and he looked so incredibly depressed. We walked out as he was paying and then decided that we wanted to see what he was buying so we stared through the door trying to see but couldn't. And then came to the conclusion that it would be weird if it seemed like we were waiting for him so we walked away quickly.

Thankfully for him, singing "Lazy Sunday" was resisted.

interesting...

alright so i'm taking microeconomics this semester. and here are the pros and cons of the course:

Pros:
* good looking teacher = easy to pay attention
* laid-back, amusing teacher
* says things like "it is so easy to get an A in this class, it's ridiculous"

Cons:
*located in Cantor 200 (where a bunch of us went to see The Life Aquatic) which according to the sign outside the room can hold up to 319 people...and every seat was taken.

winter break wrap-up

1. A majority of the drivers in San Antonio should not be driving.
2. The Shops at La Cantera surpass every mall/store/shopping center in San Antonio.
3. I watched an entire football game. I didn't understand it. But I wasn't bored.
4. Vince Young going to NFL = dammit. shit. crap.
5. King Kong, Pride & Prejudice, Brokeback Mountain, Casanova. Liked them all.
6. Must remember: being home during the month of January = sneezing, itchy/watery eyes, scratchy throat.
7. New Years should not be spent at home. Drunk, yes. At home, no.
8. Warm weather makes for a nice change but not for a Christmasy Christmas.
9. I didn't eat nearly enough Mexican food.
10. Scrabble is a scary game & makes me feel stupid.
11. UNO > Scrabble.

I just saw Brokeback Mountain. I thought it was a very good film and Heath Ledger was great. However, San Antonio may have been the wrong city to see it in. I don't know if anyone else had a similar experience, but all the snickering was getting on my nerves. People need to grow up and get over it.

Ok my rant is over. Go see the movie. It's good.
